Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how the Consulting Arete Android application handles information used by its business-planning features. The app allows users to explore consulting focus areas, complete a Business Health Check, create engagement briefs, save favourites, and review saved activity.

Information Used in an Engagement Brief

The Engagement Brief may use the following fields:

• Organization name — optional. Used to identify the organization associated with a saved brief.
• Selected service focus area — required. Used to identify which consulting focus area the brief relates to.
• Primary goal — required. Used to record the outcome the user wants to clarify.
• Key challenge — required. Used to record the main issue the user wants to address.
• Additional notes — optional. Used to retain extra context entered by the user.

These fields are retained on the user's device so the user can review saved briefs later. They are not transmitted to CONSULTING ARETE LLC or to an external server by the current app build.

Information Used in the Business Health Check

The Business Health Check may store:

• Strategy rating from 1 to 5 — required as part of a completed health check.
• Operations rating from 1 to 5 — required as part of a completed health check.
• People rating from 1 to 5 — required as part of a completed health check.
• Growth rating from 1 to 5 — required as part of a completed health check.
• Primary business goal — optional.
• Two priority areas calculated from the four ratings — generated by the app and stored with the result.

These values are used to display saved planning results and are not transmitted externally by the current app build.

Favourites and Recently Viewed Services

The app may retain service identifiers for favourite services and recently viewed services. These records are used only to support the corresponding in-app features.

Storage and Retention

The current app build stores the information described above in local app preferences on the user's device. The app does not use a backend server, cloud database, Firebase, authentication system, analytics SDK, advertising SDK, or payment gateway for the described features.

Saved engagement briefs and health checks may remain on the device until the user deletes them from Saved Activity, clears saved app data from Settings, clears the application's storage through Android settings, or uninstalls the app. Favourites and recently viewed service information remain until cleared through the app or Android settings, or until the app is uninstalled.

External Transmission and Sharing

The current app build does not send engagement briefs, health-check results, favourites, or recently viewed service information to CONSULTING ARETE LLC, a developer server, advertisers, analytics providers, or other third parties. The planning flows do not use email, SMS, WhatsApp, a share sheet, or a remote submission system to transmit those records.

Permissions and Device Features

The current app build does not require location, camera, microphone, contacts, payment-card data, media-library access, or storage-access permissions for its implemented planning features. It does not provide payment processing, authentication, user accounts, advertising, analytics, or remote API-based transaction handling.

Data Deletion and User Choices

Users can delete individual saved briefs and health checks from Saved Activity. The Settings screen can clear saved briefs, health checks, favourites, and recently viewed services. Users can also clear the application's storage through Android settings or uninstall the app to remove locally retained app data.

Security

Locally retained information remains on the user's device under the protection of the device and Android environment. No method of electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so users should protect access to their device and Android profile.

Children's Privacy

Consulting Arete is a general business-planning application and is not designed specifically for children. The current app build does not knowingly operate a remote collection system for children's personal information.

Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated when the application's features or data-handling practices change. The effective date at the top of this policy will be revised when substantive changes are made.
